In our environmental-effects testing laboratory we carry out accredited and non-accredited tests simulating temperature and humidity. We test materials, components or complete samples, including continuous monitoring and measurement. We expose them to constant, cyclic or even shock conditions according to international standards as well as the client’s individual requirements.

Types of temperature and climatic tests

Temperature and climatic tests serve to faithfully simulate the environmental conditions to which products may be exposed during their life cycle – from extreme temperatures through rapid temperature changes to high air humidity. They also help to accelerate the simulation of a product's life cycle and thus verify its resistance, functionality and durability under various climatic conditions. Thanks to this they are an essential part of both the development process and outgoing quality control in many industrial sectors. Properly performed tests reduce the risk of product failure during real operation, limit the costs associated with claims and contribute to the safety of end users.

Division of the tests:

  • Temperature tests
    We monitor and control only the ambient temperature, both cold and heat.
  • Climatic tests
    We regulate and measure both the temperature and the humidity of the environment.

We further divide the temperature and humidity tests according to their course

  • Constant tests
    Long-term maintenance of a stable temperature and humidity, for example for the purpose of conditioning a product (soaking a certain amount of humidity into the product). Accelerated ageing of products at elevated temperature and humidity.
  • Cyclic tests
    There is an alternation of various climatic conditions, such as high and low temperatures, increased humidity or dry heat, which helps to simulate an accelerated product life cycle. The rate of change may vary according to the requirements of the standard or the client.
  • Shock tests
    We simulate an extremely high temperature change, a so-called thermal shock, on the product in a very short time interval, usually within 10 seconds.

Tests according to your requirements

In the case of specific requirements, we develop our own smart solutions – for example special flashers or other control elements adapted to particular applications.

The customer can be personally present throughout the test and follow its course in real time.

It is possible to rent equipment in our laboratory and carry out the test independently.

Test your products in the toughest conditions!

We carry out accredited and non-accredited tests of the effects of temperature and humidity on products over a wide range of parameters. We perform testing at temperatures from -85 °C to +250 °C and in a climatic range of 10 to 98 % relative humidity. The tests can run in both constant and cyclic modes, while we can achieve temperature change rates of up to 15 K/min.

For the tests we have test chambers ranging from small laboratory ones to large-volume ones. If required, we are also able to offer a custom individual solution.

As needed, we offer the option of actively powering the samples, controlling them and time-synchronising them with the test profile. During the tests we can continuously measure the samples electrically, while the temperature and humidity are, during the tests, recorded and archived in the S!MPATI software.

We offer independent measurement of temperature and humidity directly on the sample, with the option of plotting the values into a graph of the real course of the test. We measure the temperature both on the sample surface and inside the material, at several measuring points simultaneously.

We are able to test your samples in accordance with this automotive standard (formerly LV124), according to selected categories e.g. K-01, K-02, K03, K-08 and K-14.

MIL-STD 810 standard

MIL-STD 810 standard

We are able to test products for the defence industry in accordance with the MIL-STD 810 standard, according to selected categories: Method 501, Method 502, Method 503 and Method 507.

Shock tests

Shock tests

The samples are exposed to a thermal shock in the range of -80 to 250 °C in a very short time interval of approximately up to 10 seconds.

Accredited testing laboratory

We are accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard in the field of external environment simulation.

We issue both an accredited and a non-accredited test report according to customer requirements. The type of report is determined by the chosen testing standard.
