In our laboratory we carry out corrosion tests in order to verify the resistance of materials and surface finishes to corrosive effects. These tests are essential for assessing the service life of products and their reliability in various environments, whether ordinary climatic conditions or aggressive industrial environments.

Types of corrosion tests
Corrosion tests simulate the conditions to which materials may be exposed during their service life. In our laboratory we offer the following types of tests:
- Salt spray tests – tests suitable for evaluating protective coatings and materials in aggressive environments.
- Condensation tests – simulation of a humid environment with water condensing on the sample surface, which makes it possible to assess resistance to humidity and condensation.
- Cyclic corrosion tests – a combination of various corrosive environments, temperatures and humidity in cycles that better mimic real conditions, for example for the automotive industry.

What our laboratory offers
In our laboratory we carry out corrosion tests according to standards as well as the customer’s specific requirements. During the test, the tested samples can be actively powered, controlled or have their response measured in real time. We record the course of the test using the S!MPATI software.
Scope of tests
- Corrosion chambers with a volume of up to 1 000 l
- Option to combine tests with a climatic chamber
- Salt spray tests up to a temperature of +50 °C
- Condensation tests up to a temperature of +42 °C
- Customer presence directly at the test
What We Test for You
VW80000 standard
We are able to test your samples in accordance with this automotive standard (formerly LV124), according to the selected categories M-04, M-05 and M-06.
MIL-STD 810 standard
We are able to test products for the defence industry in accordance with the MIL-STD 810 standard Method 509.
PV1210 standard
A standard for testing automotive parts that combines a salt spray test, a condensation test and a "normal" climate under conditions of 23 °C and 50% r. h.
Accredited testing laboratory
We are accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard in the field of external environment simulation.

This document contains key information about the tested sample and the course of the test. We provide the report in Czech or English according to your needs.
We issue both an accredited and a non-accredited test report according to customer requirements. The type of report is determined by the chosen testing standard.

Frequently Asked Questions
We carry out standard salt spray tests according to ČSN EN ISO 9227 (NSS), condensation atmosphere according to ČSN EN ISO 6270-2, as well as combined tests including, for example, ČSN EN IEC 60068-2-52. On request we can also verify the manufacturer's specific requirements.
The duration depends on the specific type of test and the assignment. For example, NSS usually takes 96 to 480 hours, while cyclic tests range from days to several weeks. We always agree on a schedule in advance according to your needs.
The 1000 l chamber capacity allows testing of tens to hundreds of samples at once – depending on their size and the type of test. We will help you choose the optimal method of fastening and layout.
For selected standards we supply an accredited report with photo documentation of the samples before and after the test, together with the test conditions. On request we can add a non-accredited analysis of the results according to selected standards.
