In our environmental-effects testing laboratory we carry out accredited and non-accredited tests simulating temperature and humidity. We test materials, components or complete samples, including continuous monitoring and measurement. Types of temperature and climatic tests
Temperature and climatic tests serve to faithfully simulate the environmental conditions to which products may be exposed during their life cycle – from extreme temperatures through rapid temperature changes to high air humidity. They also help to accelerate the simulation of a product's life cycle and thus verify its resistance, functionality and durability under various climatic conditions. Thanks to this they are an essential part of both the development process and outgoing quality control in many industrial sectors. Properly performed tests reduce the risk of product failure during real operation, limit the costs associated with claims and contribute to the safety of end users.
Division of the tests:
- Temperature tests
We monitor and control only the ambient temperature, both cold and heat. - Climatic tests
We regulate and measure both the temperature and the humidity of the environment.
We further divide the temperature and humidity tests according to their course
- Constant tests
Long-term maintenance of a stable temperature and humidity, for example for the purpose of conditioning a product (soaking a certain amount of humidity into the product). Accelerated ageing of products at elevated temperature and humidity. - Cyclic tests
There is an alternation of various climatic conditions, such as high and low temperatures, increased humidity or dry heat, which helps to simulate an accelerated product life cycle. The rate of change may vary according to the requirements of the standard or the client. - Shock tests
We simulate an extremely high temperature change, a so-called thermal shock, on the product in a very short time interval, usually within 10 seconds.
Tests according to your requirements
In the case of specific requirements, we develop our own smart solutions – for example special flashers or other control elements adapted to particular applications.
The customer can be personally present throughout the test and follow its course in real time.
It is possible to rent equipment in our laboratory and carry out the test independently.

Test your products in the toughest conditions!
We carry out accredited and non-accredited tests of the effects of temperature and humidity on products over a wide range of parameters. We perform testing at temperatures from -85 °C to +250 °C and in a climatic range of 10 to 98 % relative humidity. The tests can run in both constant and cyclic modes, while we can achieve temperature change rates of up to 15 K/min.
For the tests we have test chambers ranging from small laboratory ones to large-volume ones. If required, we are also able to offer a custom individual solution.
As needed, we offer the option of actively powering the samples, controlling them and time-synchronising them with the test profile. During the tests we can continuously measure the samples electrically, while the temperature and humidity are, during the tests, recorded and archived in the S!MPATI software.
We offer independent measurement of temperature and humidity directly on the sample, with the option of plotting the values into a graph of the real course of the test. We measure the temperature both on the sample surface and inside the material, at several measuring points simultaneously.

What We Test for You
VW80000 standard
We are able to test your samples in accordance with this automotive standard (formerly LV124), according to selected categories e.g. K-01, K-02, K03, K-08 and K-14.
MIL-STD 810 standard
We are able to test products for the defence industry in accordance with the MIL-STD 810 standard, according to selected categories: Method 501, Method 502, Method 503 and Method 507.
Shock tests
The samples are exposed to a thermal shock in the range of -80 to 250 °C in a very short time interval of approximately up to 10 seconds.
Accredited testing laboratory
We are accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute in accordance with the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard in the field of external environment simulation.

Yes, during the tests it is possible to test active samples, i.e. devices that are switched on and functional during testing. In such cases, various operating states can be simulated, including switching on and off according to a predefined scenario. If required, we are able to fully arrange the entire wiring of the tested sample, including the connection of measuring instruments, the setting of switching modes and the configuration of monitoring systems. For maximum control over the course of the test, we also offer online logging of electrical quantities, which allows continuous monitoring of key parameters such as voltage, current or temperature. Thanks to this, we can quickly identify any deviations or faults and react in time.
Our pricing policy is not based on a fixed hourly rate. The price of the tests depends primarily on the type and length of testing, the complexity of preparation and the utilisation of the specific equipment. For each project we prepare an individual price quotation that takes all these factors into account. Thanks to this we can offer you the most efficient solution with regard to your requirements and budget.
Yes, we offer the option of combining tests simulating the external environment with other methods of material testing. In this way it is possible to obtain more comprehensive information about the behaviour of materials or products under real conditions. For example, a microscopic analysis can be carried out before the start of the thermal shocks, then after the first part of the test and again after completing the entire series of thermal shocks. This procedure makes it possible to monitor in detail the changes in the material's microstructure, the formation of cracks, delamination or other defects during the test. Thanks to this combination of tests, we are able to reveal not only the immediate effects of extreme conditions but also long-term changes in material properties. If you wish for specific combinations of tests, we will be glad to propose the optimal procedure according to your needs.
According to the specification of the tested sample, we are able to design and manufacture suitable clamping fixtures for various types of tests. In doing so we take into account both the mechanical properties of the sample and the test conditions, for example vibrations, temperature cycles or shock loading. Thanks to our individual approach, we ensure that the sample is fastened safely and stably, which minimises the risk of unwanted movement or damage and at the same time allows accurate measurement of the results.
In exceptional cases, where the situation requires an urgent start of the tests, we try to find a solution for how to start testing as soon as possible. However, the possibility of prioritising your order depends on the current utilisation of the laboratory and the type of tests required. If it is an urgent case, we recommend contacting us as soon as possible so that we can assess the available options.
Yes, if interested, it is possible to attend the test in person. The customer's presence is suitable especially for more complex tests or in cases where it is necessary to consult specific requirements on an ongoing basis. However, attendance must be arranged in advance so that safety measures can be ensured and the organisation of the test adapted. If you are interested in being personally present at the test, please inform us when placing the order.
We offer several rental options for test equipment according to your needs. You can rent the equipment either for use directly at your company or for testing in our laboratory. In the case of rental in our laboratory, you have the option of attending the test and working with the equipment yourself, of course after prior training and under the supervision of our expert staff. If you choose rental at your premises, we will arrange the transport of the equipment, its installation and the training of the operators. Accredited tests are carried out in accordance with the strict requirements of accreditation bodies, for example according to the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard. These tests ensure a high level of reliability and repeatability of results and are recognised internationally. The results of accredited tests carry greater weight, for example in product certification, demonstrating conformity with standards or in resolving legal disputes. Non-accredited tests are carried out outside the scope of accreditation, yet according to the same or similar methodologies and procedures. They are suitable, for example, for development tests, verification of partial properties or internal quality control. The choice between an accredited and a non-accredited test depends on the purpose of the testing and the specific requirements of the customer.
